Bourgogne is an area of French countryside due directly east of Paris. It shares its western border with several areas of the capital and Champagne Ardenne. Its northern border connects to Lorraine, while its southern border connects to Centre. To the east lies No-Man's Land, with several impassable mountains and an inaccessible coastline beyond.

Description[]

The longest but narrowest region of the countryside, Bourgogne is effectively a sliver of rural France sandwiched between the Parisian metropolis and the impassable border to its east. Though more spacious towards its northern border, the area consists mostly of a single road with forests, small pockets of countryside, and ruined settlements on the border visible. It is the only region to share a border with both ends of the River Seine.

Trivia[]

  • In reality, Bourgogne ("Burgundy") is a former French administrative region located to the southeast of Paris. Since 2016, the area has been part of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté administrative region.
    • Though an area of sea can be seen beyond the mountain range east of the region on the in-game map, the real-life region instead borders Switzerland.
